New HQ for SuperCult

I wake up and my RSS feeds from Google News are going crazy, normally theres one or two distinct articles about Scientology – nothing too major, just enough to allow them to stay focused by the media.

As i wake up and try to jog my memory, my eyes focus on the titles of the articles and i remember…

Scientology’s brand new London Org, a reported 23 Million graciously collected from the unwittingly brainwashed recruits, eager for a piece of spiritual enlightenment. Of course no Scientology event would be complete without a picket and although police cordoned off the area for those not involved with the “church”, a small group were able to stand their ground.

I remember reading on the OCMB that this event was due, although i couldn’t quite remember the date. Had i been aware, i would have taken a trip down for the ceremony – anything for a laugh at David Miscavige’s expense.

The quote i enjoyed most from the proceedings came from David himself and it is a corker.

“[Scientology could] improve the grades of schoolchildren across the education system in one term, completely reverse 80-90 percent recidivist crime rates and cut drug addiction by 10-20 percent within a generation.”

Of course, there was no sign of Xenu.
